Who am I?
(Answers on a post card please!)
My
name is Chris West. I
am fortunate to live within spitting distance of the New Forest which is
in the county of Hampshire in the south of England. Just about all of my
native wood comes from Hampshire.
I
have been woodturning for over 30 years now and for the last 10 years I
have specialized in turning salt & pepper shakers and mills. Whilst
I sell my mills at local demonstrations and some craft shows, my main marketing thrust is
through this website.
I've
recently learnt to write and the Woodturning magazine has recently
published an article on a double ended mill I designed. Further details
are shown below.
 |
The
mill uses two stemless CrushGrind© mechanisms.
The
mill is filled with salt and pepper by removing the plugs which
have a rubber O ring to seal them.
Further
details on this mill can be seen in issue 206, November 2009 of
the Woodturning magazine. |

am a member of The Turning Circle which is a group of
four woodturners in south Hampshire who all specialize in different
fields of woodturning.
